The last four weeks have been very busy around here, which led to a delay in one of my favorite posts of the month, the honorable mentions! The October contest had so many amazing entries, as always, choosing a winner proved to be difficult! Today I am highlighting those winners along with a few of my other favorites from each of the other categories!
Cheryl Knutti created this stunning card by heat embossing the dotted tree image from Tree Trimming Trio with white embossing powder. The touches of green added with the ornaments provide some nice contrast and color pop. The addition of one of Dawn's sentiments from Signature Christmas adds an element of style and flair without being too flashy.
Sharon Dines used some of the decorative medallions from Guide Lines Two as ornaments on her clean & simple holiday card. I thought this was so clever and innovative.
Alyssa2 used the snowflake images from Snowflake Serenade to build a larger flake on the cover of her white card base. The special inking she did with each snowflake to achieve variegated color is fabulous.
prhansen pulled out one of my favorites, Quilter's Sampler, to create a simple holiday motif across the cover of her clean & simple card. Just by coloring the squares with traditional Christmas colors, she's able to gain a holiday look with a year-round set.
Teresa Shaw went vintage with her use of Stocking Prints. The way she hung all the stocking from our Leaf Ribbon is such a pretty way to display them all in a row. The use of buttons and button twine really adds to the rustic, homespun look that she achieved. Such a gorgeous card!
Elizabeth Smith used one of her favorite paper punches to create several small boughs and form a wreath to accent a single stocking. The texture and detail is amazing!
Jamie Greene created an entire fireplace scene to display her stocking trio. Right down to the flames warming the room.
Carol Royer used an nontraditional color scheme of purple & green. I loved the glitter accents that she added to what is normally perceived as a rustic set of images.
KimH created an entire collection of sachets using many of our older sets, including this one that was made utilizing Teacher's Apple. I love the addition of the small ribbon tab affixed with a button at the top. Such a great and inexpensive gift!
Vanessa Menhorn used In Bloom in a bit of an unexpected way that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. Combining three of the smaller blooms in a delicate layering of vellum was such an amazing idea!
Regina Mangum executed the CUTEST adaptation of the bicycle image from Everyday Button Bits and made it a bicycle built for two. er color scheme is super fun and cheerful too!
Janelle was clever to use the tree trio from Everyday Button Bits to create a series of cards depicting the trees during all four of the seasons (you can see them all individually on her blog, HERE). She showcased so much amazing creativity here!
Kate W. put together an AMAZING gift set using our Tea for Two images and the Let's Do Lunch template. I love the main color scheme of Pure Poppy and Spring Moss. It just jumps out of the photo at me. I also loved that she integrated several different papers from the coordinating Green Tea Leaves patterned paper collection. Just an overall beautiful, simple ensemble! Kate will be joining us in contributing to one of the new template releases in November, so keep your eye out!
dcabral went in a fun & artistic direction with Tucked Away and added a beautiful cluster of autumn leaves to the top of the box. A few touches of gold add sophistication & elegance to the packaging.
Simple Treasures used Tea for Two and a small crocheted flower to turn Get a Handle on It into a special gift containing Tea Bags. I loved the color scheme of Sweet Blush & Pure Poppy together.
Frogwoman used Milk Made to create some fun treat holders for Halloween. The images from 2009 Halloween Tags were a perfect compliment to them!
