August Senior DT Challenge

Hello everyone!  I apologize in advance for my silence since arriving here at the CHA events!  Just a few hours of sleep each night is what I've been able to muster up and I am afraid it hasn't allowed for much blogging! 

Today was the first day that the official Papertrey booth opened up for business.  I have some unbelievable stories and photos to share with you at a later date.  Probably when I settle back in on Tuesday!

The real reason I am writing is to share the amazing results of this month's senior challenge.  It was all about patterns and combining different ones successfully.

One of my personal biggest struggles is combining different patterns in a way that is pleasing to the eye and yet maintains an overall clean & simplistic look.  I am always trying to learn from others when it comes to this type of knack, and what better people to learn from than our very own design team!  Be sure to check out all of the wonderful tips that the Design Team members have compiled for you along with beautiful project to support these tips.

By the time you read this David & I will have arrived safe and sound in Orlando.  I'm really looking forward to all of the hustle & bustle of booth prep on Thursday!  I can hardly wait!  I have one more little peek to share with you today that showcases a BRAND new item that Papertrey is debuting at CHA! (Don't worry, if you aren't going to the show, it will be available online soon too!)  I don't want to give too much away, so this peek is pretty abstract, but I would love to hear your guesses!

And I thought I would leave you with a parting shot of the contests of the trailer.  To think this is JUST the booth!  We had to hire a semi-truck to bring all of the merchandise separately from Ohio!

Today I'll be attending the actual CHA show that is for industry members only.  Looking forward to hanging out with my girls, getting a grasp on industry trends and all that fun stuff!  I'll be sure to take photos and share them with you tomorrow!

David and I have been working all day packing a U-Haul trailer full of the different elements that will be used to build our booth.  We pull out first thing at 6am this morning to make the 10 hour drive to Orlando.  The kids have been dropped off at their grandparents for the week.  I've arranged for my dearest neighbor to feed my cats and pick up my mail.  Everything is just about ready to go!

For today's peek I thought I would show you our make & take schedule.  Did you know that we will be hosting a whole SIX different projects over the course of the two days of the show?  YEP!  Debbie, Michelle and I will be taking turns!  We can seat seven stampers at a time and the projects should only take about 10 minutes to make!

As a side note, I don't post many photos of myself and the headshot in the side bar is well over two years old, so I thought it might be a good idea to update you with a new photo (so you'll come up and say hi at the show and know who in the world you are talking to!).  I had David snap a quick pic outside this morning before we left to run errands. Since my old headshot I've grown out my hair a little past my shoulders and have stopped straightening it, *trying* to embrace some natural curl I mysteriously gained after I started having babies!  I wear it up a lot and will most likely be doing so at the show!  (That may have been way more information than you wanted to know, but I thought I would share anyway!)
