The new issue of Stamp It! Cards is out and it is such a great issue (not to mention my BFF Dawn McVey has a project on the cover)! I received my copy yesterday and there's a whole lot of Papertrey in there! The folks at Paper Crafts even highlighted Quilter's Sampler in the popular Stamp It Three Ways column, which I personally contributed a project for.

I chose to use one of my favorite sentiments from the set regarding marriage, so soft muted colors seemed like a good choice. This particular issue also highlights the use of dye ink sprays so I had incorporated that technique into my card. I placed several quilt block images onto my block at once, like Debbie Olson did HERE, which allowed me to stamp my background pattern onto my white cardstock with just a few impressions using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed with clear Filagree embossing powder.
I made my own ink spray by mixing some drops of Aqua Mist ink refill with water. I spritzed it onto my cardstock, which in turn allowed the embossed pattern to resist the color. I went back in with a Copic marker in a slightly darker shade to accent some of the quilt patterns. If you would like to see more detailed instructions and a complete supply list, along with what the other two designers did using this set, be sure to pick up a copy of this fab publication today! It's a really great resource and has LOTS of inspiration that is specifically stamp oriented!!!
