This month's challenge was to create custom floral accents, possibly even integrating materials OTHER than paper!  I had a few things in my archives that fit the bill perfectly, so I thought I would share them here with you.  Each of the links will take you to a tutorial on how to make the flower pictured!

First up are these rustic fabric flowers I created with some Cuttlebug dies. I just LOVE the way these turned out!

I used the same Cuttlebug die to make these book print antique flowers, inspired by Melissa Phillips.

The vintage-style flower shown here was made with a scalloped heart punch!  Super easy and customizable!

Inspired Table Settings

...I just returned home last night from my trip to Cincinnati, and am planning all of the final details for our family's Thanksgiving dinner.  I was contemplating a few things to make for our very own holiday table and decided to seek inspiration from a post our very own design team did a few months ago.

Excitement is in the air!

Do you know what time of year it is at Papertrey Ink?  This is the week that Jane, Julie and I plan all of the exciting concepts and products for the coming year!  I've spent all week preparing a prospectus, researching product and collecting ieas from our very own stamp designers and design team.  There is nothing more invigorating than developing innovative additions for all of you to enjoy in the near future!

I arrived in Cincinnati yesterday and will be here until Sunday, taking advantage of the opportuity to spend time with my two amazing partners and enjoying the excitement of what 2009 will bring for all of you!  We've just gotten started on our agenda, and all I have to say is that you better hang onto your hats, ladies!  It's going to be a phenomenal year!!!

And white I was stopping in, I thought I might remind you of a few posts from the archives that you may find helpful this time of year as your are in the final stages of holiday crafting preparations!

-Have you started on your holiday cards yet?  In case you missed it or have forgotten, our fabulous design team came up with eleven card designs COMPLETE with free downloads that include supply lists, instructions & cutting measurements!  It couldn't be any more easy than that!

-Do you need a few quick homemade holiday gift ideas?  There are quite a few selections under the category "Christmas Ideas", contained in the right-hand sidebar--->.  The most inspiring of which is the group post done by oure design team.  So many great ideas all in one place, all inexpensive & easy during this hectic time of year.

I've had many wonderful teachers throughout my years in school, but my favorite would have to be Mr. Nall, my high school band director. I was the ultimate band nerd and even went on to major in flute performance in college. Mr. Nall, though tough, was a great man and truly loved his job and his students. And his best advice..."If you're going to mess up, do it big!!"
