Candice's set, Pond Life, has so many adorable images in it. I am anxious to get the opportunity to play with all of them! Today I thought I would move onto the turtle!!! I turned him into a fun dimensional focal point, and I thought you might like to know all the details!
The shell comes in two parts, one solid image (stamped in Chartreuse Palette) and one "shell" image (stamped in Landscape Palette) that features all of the separate plates and details of a shell. I cut out the shell right along the edge of the image.

Followed by a nice sponging with Landscape Palette ink. I thought this added a lot of dimension to the shell. The turtles head, feet & tail are all separate images. This allows you to easily interchange colors or body parts. ( I think it would be SO cute to NOT stamp a head, like he had it pulled into his shell! I just haven't come up with a sentiment that makes sense yet!) Here I have stamped his body and cut it out as well.

A few foam dimensionals and one of the sentiments from the mini Pond Life Sentiments set brought the focal point of this card together. I used Crystal Effects on the individual plates of the turtle's shell as an added accent.

Here is my finished project. I love this little guy! He would be appropriate on birthday cards for boys and even baby cards. What else can you think of to do with this little turtle?
