EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNERS:
Carol aka Krillsister used the Berry Basket die to create these adorable little monogrammed Easter baskets. So, so clever to use an egg shape to mat the die-cut letters. I also love the decorative edging she added to the baskets. Just the perfect touch!
Angela Person created a beautiful wreath to frame her monogram. The way she used a second more simple wreath image inside the decorative one was the perfect way to ground everything and not have too much white space.
Jessica Wekenman made a bold and bright monogrammed notecard using her own initials. I just love the mix of trendy patterns as well as the awesome Raspberry Fizz and Royal Velvet color scheme!
Congratulations to all the winners! Please contact Customer Service and provide the email address you would like your gift certificate sent to. And thank you to all of the other participants! There were some AMAZING projects shared this month! I think everyone will be inspired to create several different kinds of monogram projects throughout the coming weeks!

I am very excited to introduce our annual anniversary set to you today, Birds & Blooms!
Whimsical wreaths and birds on branches in bloom are the focus of this new set. It only takes four quick and easy steps to a multi-colored layered wreath image that will amaze you with its beauty and detail. The elegant grace of the branch and the mix & match options for floral additions to it are user-friendly as well. Not to mention the adorable little birds and their nest, which can be nestled into the wreath or the branch. All of these things make this set a versatile collection that you will turn to again and again!
This set is a limited edition set, meaning that it will only be available for exactly one year (February 15th, 2013 through February 15th, 2014). This set is exclusive for purchase with Rewards Points only, it cannot be purchased with cash. Birds & Blooms can be yours with the redemption of 24 Rewards Points, beginning tonight at 10pm EST. As I highlighted abit earlier, it will be available for a year, so you have plenty of time to save up your points and earn this set! Have questions about our reward points system? You can check out this page HERE or contact Customer Service for details.
Let me show you a few things I have created with Birds & Blooms!
I could hardly wait to ink up the wreath elements and see if they translated onto paper as well as I hoped when I designed the set! I wish you could have been present when I first lifted the stamp from my paper after stamping the leaf layer, I was giggling like a school girl!
The leaf layer in particular for the wreath is very detailed. With tiny stitched leaves and a variety of sizes and shapes to each branch, you hardly need to add anything else to your project except for the companion floral layers of the wreath! I stamped the leaf layer in Ripe Avocado, then added the largest floral layer in Scarlet Jewel, allowing myself to stamp twice before re-inking for a shadow effect. I then added the tiny hydrangea-like floral layer in Autumn Rose, again stamping twice. Last is the rosebud layer in Sweet Blush. The sentiment was stamped in Dark Chocolate, right across the middle of the wreath.
All of these elements were stamped onto a Mega Mat Stack 5 die cut from Vintage Cream cardstock. I softly swiped the edges with the Tea Dye Duo. For a little unique touch, I adhered just the sides of the die-cut down with foam tape, allowing it "bow" upwards in the middle a bit for dimension. Two small flags of Scarlet Jewel bitty dot paper were adhered to either end for balance.
The Sweet Blush layer on the card front was impressed with the Tiny Types Impression Plate. Everything was adhered to a Classic Kraft card base.
Now for something really bold and bright! I thought it would be fun to experiment with the wreath as an accent on either side of a card front and this is what I came up with! I just LOVE this card and how it really gives another whole use for the wreath image! I stamped the leaf layer in New Leaf, then added the largest floral layer in Raspberry Fizz. I then added the hydrangea floral layer in Orange Zest. Last is the rosebud layer in Limeade Ice.
The Headline Alphabet letters were die-cut from Stamper's Select White cardstock and stamped with the coordinating images using Raspberry Fizz ink. I adhered them in place with small bits of foam tape. The companion sentiment underneath (from Over Under Easy) is stamped in True Black.
I cut strips of Orange Zest striped paper to create an accent on either side of the card.
Everything was mounted onto a bold Limeade Ice card base.
Now to transition into a softer pastel project, a little something for the bride & groom.
Oe of my favorite details in this set is the two-step nest. There is a solid layer to stamp first, then a detailed line-drawn nest to go on top in a darker color. I did this with Fine Linen & Classic Kraft here. There is even a little stamp to add three eggs to the next, which I did here in Aqua Mist. The adorable little birdies are stamped in Harvest Gold and Melon Berry, with a tiny heart at the top of the stack in Sweet Blush. I added a touch of Prisma Glitter to the heart with a 2-way glue pen.
I added varying stripes of Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Harvest Gold and Aqua Mist to the Classic Kraft card base. I punched small notches on either side of the card to add button twine and tie it in a bow around the card.
Note that the focal point was stamped onto a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock that was die-cut with one of our popular Half & Half dies.
My next project goes back to the wreath again!
This time the layers were stamped in Simply Chartreuse, Lavender Moon, Winter Wisteria and Spring Rain. I added a few adhesive pearls for some texture. All of this was stamped onto Vintage Cream cardstock.
The sentiment was added using Charcoal Palette ink. One of the little birds was added on top of the sentiment with Spring Rain ink.
The four corners of the cream layer were notches with a circle punch. Everything was adhered to a Winter Wisteria card base.
My next project is something I really had fun experimenting with different color schemes. I ended up with a beautiful mix of Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Pinefeather and Sweet Blush! To begin the design, I die-cut the Aqua Mist cardstock with the Card Base-ics #1 die and followed up with impressing it with the Picnic Plaid impression plate.
I stamped the branch image repeatedly onto Aqua Mist card front using Pinefeather ink. Then I heat embossed with Blush Zing! powder on VersaMark stamped flowers. Hawaiian Shores & Berry Sorbet were used to add more layers of blooms.
In the center of the card, the tabs of the card front hold a white layer stamped with one of the frames from Label Basics in Hawaiian Shores. I added the "Hello" from Birds & Blooms in Berry Sorbet and the companion sentiments in Pinefeather. The little bird was stamped in Sweet Blush. I cut out three small flowers and accented the corner of the frame. Before I adhered them, I added tiny leaves stamped in Pinefeather.
Everything was mounted onto a Berry Sorbet card base!
For my last project today, I thought I would focus on a one layer card.
I stamped the sentiment first in True Black, then taped a strip of typing paper over it to use as a mask. I stamped the branch image and several of the leaf images in Ripe Avocado.
I used a sponge dauber to add an extra thick layer of Ripe Avocado right along the edge of the mask for added definition. When I was done with that, it needed something else to define the sentiment area, so I stamped a single line from Faux Ribbon in Terracotta Tile at the top and bottom.
Flowers were added in Terracotta Tile, Orange Zest and Berry Sorbet. The bird was stamped in Berry Sorbet and added just above the sentiment.
As a final note, I just wanted to add (cause I know you'll ask!) that there is not a die collection being released for this set in February. However, we will eventually be releasing dies for Birds & Blooms in the near future. Also, the Design Team will be showcasing this limited edition set with additional projects a bit later on in the month!
Thanks for joining me tonight and I hope you enjoyed the projects I presented to you! We would love to hear your initial thoughts of Birds & Blooms! Is there a particular project that just *speaks* to you? What part of the set is your favorite... the wreath, the branch, the birds, the nest or even the sentiments? I appreciate you stopping by and enjoy the rest of your night!

Not only do we have just the thing to help you create your own darling hair accessories for the little ladies in your life, but we've got the perfect way to package them up as gifts too!
Erin Lincoln approached us during our submission process this past fall with this AMAZING idea that we could hardly wait to bring to life and make available for sale. We just know all of you are going to LOVE this product line from her! Erin designed a truly unique collection of dies that inspired a little $5 stamp set from me to coordinate along with them. This collection of images in the Boutique Accessories stamp set is designed to coordinate with the Boutique Accessory Card die collection that Erin designed, allowing you to customize the cards and make them as beautiful as the actual gift.
The Details:
Boutique Accessories stamp set will be available for purchase on February 15th.
It will retail for $5.
Boutique Accessories contains a total of 3 images. The two topper images each measure 2-5/8" x 7/8". The "Handmade just for you" sentiment measures 2-1/4" x 3/8".
A coordinating die collection will be available for sale separately, retailing for $18. This collection includes a total of 2 dies. 3" x 4-1/2" (A), 4-1/8" x 3-5/8" (B)
Erin Lincoln also thought up these little gems!!! These amazing dies were designed to be used with felt to cover the little hair clips that are so popular for little girls right now. Create your own custom hair accessories for little ladies with these clever new dies! And don't forget to package them up with the coordinating Boutique Accessories stamp set and dies!
The Details:
Clever Barrette Covers die collection will be available for purchase on February 15th.
It will retail for $8.

A new way to package bulky cards is here! When you cut two shapes with this large die, you can adhere them together to form a sturdy envelope box that is perfect for mailing bulky A2 cards. Not only is there a little depth to it to accommodate buttons & bows, but it also has room to spare for accents and embellishments that hang over the edge.
The Details:
The Bulk Mail Envelope die will be available for purchase on February 15th.
It will retail for $20.
The Bulk Mail Envelope die measures 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" (finished envelope size is approximately 4-3/4" x 6-1/8").
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
I wanted to start out my post today with the undeniably sweet Boutique Accessories stamp set combined with the Boutique Accessory Card die. And no accessory card can be complete without adorable barrettes to go along with it!
Here you can see how the top layer has tabs that get adhered to the back of the main card, allowing it to bow out slightly and properly display your accessories. I die-cut my main card from Classic Kraft cardstock and the top layer from Spring Moss. The Spring Moss layer was stamped with Year of Flowers Collection in Simply Chartreuse for a a subtle pattern. Another cool feature of this top layer is the pre-established slits for adding your accessory to the card. It just looks so classy and professional!
At the top of the Classic Kraft card base, I stamped one of the new topper images from Boutique Accessories stamp set in Vintage Cream ink.
In the die-cut hole at the top, I threaded through a bit of MElon Berry Twill ribbon and tied it off with a Harvest Gold button and Cream Button Twine.
To create the actual barrettes, I constructed to flowers first. The flowers were die-cut with die C from the Frilly Flowers Die Collection using Melon Berry Felt. Each barrette actually uses two of the die-cut flowers sandwiched together. I stitched the Harvest Gold button to the center of the top flower first then added the interior stitching details around it. Then I added the second flower underneath it and whipstitched them together, which covers up the messy back of the top flower after all the decorative stitching I did.
I used die A from the Lovely Layers Die Collection with Simply Chartreuse felt to create the leaves. I did the same process with these that I used for the flowers when stitching them together.
For the barrette bases, I die-cut the middle layer from Vintage Cream felt and the bottom & top layers from Classic Kraft.
I stitched the three layers togethers which was SO easy since the holes are already cut and ready to line-up because of Erin's foresight in designing the dies! It's kind of like doing the lacing cards you practiced in Kindergarden! I found it easiest to stitch the biggest half of the bottom layer in place without the barrette inserted. Then insert the barrette and add the smaller half, finishing your stitching all the way around.
These are so, SO fun to make! I know pretty much everyone I know will be getting some of these for their birthday! So inexpensive too!
Next up I have a card for you that I made incorporating the new Boutique Accessories set. I wanted to show you an example of how the set could be used without the designated coordinating dies!
I started by making a pocket from the Mega Mat Stack 3 die by cutting off the top portion. This was die-cut from CLassic Kraft cardstock, stamped with Polka Dot Basics II using Fresh Snow ink. I then added a Photo Finish Strip cut from Summer Sunrise striped paper, using pinking shears to trim the ends. I die-cut a Beautiful Butterflies shape from white cardstock and accented it with stamped images from Cutting Garden and Mini Blooms. This was adhered in place just at the center.
A Simply Chartreuse button finishes the center, stitched with embroidery floss. I also die-cut a few leaves using the new Mini Blooms dies. These were cut fromSpring Moss cardstock and stamped with the coordinating images using Simply Chartreuse ink.
The top edge of the pocket was accented with the Medium Scallop Border die and Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I cut a block of Aqua Mist cardstock to fit in the pocket and added the topper image from Boutique Accessories in Hawaiian Shores to finish it off.
The card is designed to slide in and out of the pocket freely.
Because my card is a bit bulky because of all the layers, the pocket and most of all that button, I figured it would be a good time to pull-out the new Bulk Mail Envelope die.
Here is a little video that explains all of the details incorporated into this new die as well as some tips & tricks for easy assembly!
The envelope is constructed from Classic Kraft cardstock. You can see here that I accented the envelope with the same Summer Sunrise striped paper as well as a coordinating shipping label. The "Just a little something" topper from Boutique Accessories is practically made for this purpose and looks so sweet!
While I had all my supplies out, I die-cut another butterfly from one of our white label sheets and stamped it to coordinate as well. This makes the perfect envelope seal.
As you can see, the completed Bulk Mail Envelope has a roomy interior which can accommodate, button, bows, layers and nearly anything else you can dream up! It even has a bit of room to the side of a standard A2 card for a little bit of your design elements to hang off and still be protected. Like I said in the video, if you are going to take this much time to make a special card for somebody, you should definitely take a few extra moments to package it appropriately so it arrives at its final destination in the perfect condition you sent it in!
Now that you have seen a few of my creations, here are some of the amazing Boutique Accessories that the team has created!
