Introducing Bells & Boughs, Winter Cheer & Christmas Labels

Lisa Johnson has designed a  retro and stylish holiday stamp, perfect for those fun and upbeat holiday projects. The set features three frame shapes that work separately as well as together! Maile Belles has designed a lovely bell, bough and bow set, prefect for the Christmas holiday.  This set includes both large and small versions of poinsettias, bells, boughs & bows. 

These simply modern images are perfect for creating elegantly simple cards or for taking things up a notch for more detailed and layered creations.  All of these images pair perfectly together and give you endless layering options.  A few outline images are included giving you the option to paper piece or color.  Make your own boughs using the three different bough segments and choose from a number of sentiments to complete your holiday projects and cards.

I have a few brand new die releases to share with you as well.  First, a new set of Edgers dies from Dawn McVey.  These simple scallops are set on a slight curve to give a beautiful decorative edge to your projects.  A must-have for sure!

I have always loved the idea of tucking small sprigs of evergreen bows onto wrapped packages, tag tops and card fronts.

But it can be a bit troublesome to keep them alive for an extended amount of time.  So I designed a die that will allow you to create as many as you like from paper, fabric, felt or any other material you can dream up!

As I said the other day, we try to introduce dies for popular previously released sets now and then.  Today I get to introduce you to a die designed to coordinate with Merry & Bright by Melissa Bickford.  This new die will take this older set to an all new level and simplify designs on a whole new level!

Now that all the formal introductions have been made, let's get onto the projects!

My first project today pairs up several of the products I am showcasing today.

To begin building my focal point, I started with a piece of Spring Moss cardstock die-cut with Mat Stack 2.  To add the stitched & solid stripes, I repeatedly stamped the stitched label from Christmas Labels across it using Ripe Avocado ink.

I die cut Christmas Label from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the coordinating image with Aqua Mist ink.  I stamped the sentiment (from Winter Cheer) using Spring Moss ink.  A small snowflake from Winter Cheer is added in the center of the frame, stamped in Spring Rain ink.  I traced the oval interior of the frame with a 2-way glue pen and sprinkled it with Prisma Glitter.  I also added a small adhesive pearl to the center of the snowflake.

I die-cut the GORGEOUS Pine Boughs from Simply Chartreuse felt and tucked them behind the frame.  I added a few pearl head pins tied with 1/4" Silk Ribbon.  A stripe was added to the ribbon with a Copic Marker.

I used the new scalloped Edgers #4 along the bottom edge of my Kraft card base.  The cover was stamped with Background Basics: Houndstooth in Vintage Cream ink.

I love the way this card turned out, lots of lovely layers and visual interest.

Now for something bold & bright using Winter Cheer!

I stamped the tree from Winter Cheer in Spring Moss.  The main portion of the sentiment was stamped in Smokey Shadow, the "full of cheer" in Hawaiian Shores and the flourish in Raspberry Fizz.  I added a few rhinestones to the tree ornament openings to help continue the color scheme.

I used a 2-way glue pen to adhere Prisma Glitter to the edge of the focal point.  A border was created on a strip of Hibiscus Burst cardstock, stamping the reverse snowflake square in Raspberry Fizz along the length of it.

I used the distressed dotted background in VersaMark ink onto the Hawaiian Shores background layer.

For this project I created my own background paper.

I used the large framed snowflake in Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides and Aqua Mist.  I then added one of the smaller snowflakes from the set in between the circles, again in Ocean Tides.

After stamping the pattern, I ran the sheet through my Big Shot with the Woodgrain Impression Plate.  I love the texture that this added!

For the sentiment, I stamped the stitched frame from Christmas Labels onto a strip of Ocean Tides cardstock using Fresh Snow ink.  I then added the sentiments from Winter Cheer in Fresh Snow as well.

All of this was adhered to a Kraft card base.  I swiped a bit of Fresh Snow ink around the edges to soften everything.

Now to change courses a bit with Maile Belles' new set, Bells & Boughs.

I die-cut the bells from Pure Poppy Cardstock and then stamped the coordinating images with VersaMark.  I used a gold paint pen to add small detail dots as decorative trim to the bells.  Large rhinestones serves as a finishing touch.  I punched a hole at the top of the bells and tied them together with Pure Poppy Baker's Twine.

The sentiment (from Stylish Sentiments: Holiday) was stamped onto Ripe Avocado cardstock and heat embossed with Gold Filigree Embossing Powder.  I also added two gold stripes along the bottom with a gold paint pen.

A strip of Pure Poppy cardstock was added between the focal point and the Pinefeather card base.

I thought I would show you how you could use the new Bells & Boughs set to create a little wedding card for you.

The bell & bow were die-cut from Stamper's Select White cardstock.  I then stamped the coordinating images with Noir Palette ink and colored them with Copics.  I added a bit of shimmer with a Gelly Roll Stardust pen.

I filled the Sweet Blush cardstock with Background Basics: Sheet Music using VersaMark ink.  I used Congrats All Ways in Scarlet Jewel & Smokey Shadow to add the sentiment, making this bell perfect for a wedding card.

I stamped the flowers from Bells & Boughs around the perimeter of the card cover with VersaMark ink.

I had to create a card using the new Merry & Bright die and here are my results!

I die-cut the tree from Stamper's Select White cardstock and then stamped the various bits & pieces of the tree with Merry & Bright.  the sentiment (from Christmas Labels) was heat embossed with White Filigree Embossing Powder.

The background was created with the polka-dot frame from Christmas Labels stamped in Hawiian Shores.
