Here we are! The final day of our 4th Anniversary festivities has arrived! But that doesn't diminish the amount of excitement around these parts! I still have some amazing things to share with you today!
Dawn McVey has been a busy bee while preparing for this months release! With three stamp sets and four die collections, you just aren't going to be able to resist her creative contributions!
First up is Delightful Doilies, a beautifully executed doily building stamp set. You will love being able to customize your projects with any color and style doily you wish!
The details.
- Delightful Doilies will be available for purchase on February 15th.
- It will retail for $24.
- Delightful Doilies contains a total of 14 stamps (3 large outer ring quadrants, 3 medium rings and 8 small centers).
- A set of three coordinating dies for this set (1 for each size ring) will be available for purchase separately for $18.
- The largest doily die (A) measures 4" in diameter, medium (C) 2-1/2" in diameter, small (B) 1-1/4" in diameter.
For the occasions where you just want a detailed, cut doily to layer on your project, Dawn also designed Doily Details. This set of three intricate die shapes is perfectly sized to enable lots of layering. They coordinate well with 1-3/4" circular images in the center as well.

- The Doily Details die collection contains three dies, all measuring 2-1/2" in diameter.
- Coordinating Punch-out Tools for these three dies will be available for sale separately. The individual Punch-out Tools will retail for $6 each.
If you are planning on purchasing the Doily Details dies, or if you have ever had trouble with one small portion of your die not cutting completely through the paper, we have a new addition that's perfect for you. I must say, it has completely changes things for me and given me better, crisper cuts every time. This Metal Shim just needs to be inserted in your sandwich on the BACK flat side of your die (you don't ever want the cutting blades pressing into the metal shim).

- The metal shim measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and it is made from solid steel.

Also from Dawn this month is an amazing, new background building set! Newsprint is all the rage right now in paper crafting and now Dawn has given us all the tools to create our very own!

Let me show you a few of my creations using these fabulous goodies!
I used a little bit of everything for my first project today!
I die-cut a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock with the largest Delightful Doily die. I then stamped the doily layers onto it using Fresh Snow ink. I cut the doily in half and applied the halves to either side of the card.
For the sentiment block, I die-cut Fillable Frames #6 die from white cardstock and stamped it with the new coordinating frame from Fillable Frames Additions 1 using Ocean Tides ink. The sentiment (from Hello, Friend) was added in Smokey Shadow. Background Basics: Newsprint was used on the front of the Spring Moss card base using VersaMark ink.
This is a very simple single-layer card that I am just smitten with.
I stamped one of the flowers from HEllo, Friend in Berry Sorbet onto my Vintage Cream cardstock. I then stamped a few leaves from Turning a New Leaf in Spring Moss. The final addition was the Summer Sunrise flowers, which are actually pieces from Delightful Doilies!
A small rhinestone was placed in the center of each flower and I also added some random stitching along the bottom to act as a subtle border.
How about something a bit more "earthy"?
I die-cut Melon Berry cardstock with Mat Stack 4 die and stamped it with the new herringbone frame from Mat Stack 4 Collection using Terracotta Tile ink. I then followed up with a few of the small botanical images from Life using VersaMark ink. Lastly, I added the sentiment using True Black.
I used the Edgers #2 die on the bottom edge of the card. I love the delicacy of the final look.
I stamped Backgrpound Basics: Newsprint on the card base using VersaMark ink. A bit of gingham ribbon and a few buttons were added around the focal point for balance.
This simple Celebrate card would be perfect for anyone on your mailing list that loves pink!
I die-cut Kraft cardstock with the Friendly Flower die and stamped it with a flower from Hello, Friend using Fresh Snow ink. That flower was layered on top of one of the Doily Details dies shapes.
The Sweet Blush background was stamped with Background BAsics: Newsprint using VersaMark ink. All of this was adhered to a Fine Linen card base.

Aren't all of their projects just drop-dead gorgeous? So much inspiration al in one place! Now, about that contest I mentioned earlier...
Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to visit each design team member’s blog above and locate the main photo of their doily project, which will be watermarked with the official Doily Hunt logo. Search each of the ten photos (one per team member) for a small doily that looks like this:
DO NOT count doilies that are part of the project or stamped (solid or in color) or ANYTHING other than this particular doily. Only the white outline doily images will be included in the final count. Be forewarned that some photos may not have any doilies hidden within them and others may feature as many as three! Use the downloadable checklist below to keep track of your progress.
Once completed, calculate your final grand total and add your official entry to the comment section of this post! Your comment should include your *final* answer as to how many TOTAL doilies you found hidden between the ten photos. Most doilies are pretty easy to find, but there are a few that could be a bit tricky, so look carefully!
