....So things have been crazy busy in my world since returning from CHA. I am in the middle of doing a huge blitz of design work for upcoming Papertrey releases, which is always fun! And at the same time, believe it or not, David and I are in the process of
rearranging dismantling the upstairs of our house, making room for a new studio. I know many of you may think I am CRAZY! I have already heard from my friends that nothing could be better than the *oasis* that David created for me last year. But I had out grown the room. It looks a bit bigger in the pictures than the 9x10 dimensions it has in real life! We have juggled all the bedrooms & sleeping arrangements for the kids so that we can create an amazing & *bigger* work space for me, but at the same time it will have the ability to house activities for other members of the family. I am VERY excited about our plans, it just takes SO much work to move and reorganize ALL the stamping supplies in a way that works well for the new space. Here is a photo of the colors of the room. I basically stuck to what I have in my existing studio, just a slightly different hue. These are the throw pillows I bought for the soon to be installed window seat. The blue ribbed chenille will be used to upholster the window seat so it will be soft and cozy! I promise to share more pics as we complete everything! My goal is to get everything done in time for the August Countdown!
David and I got the chance to do one of our FAVORITE summer activities earlier this week, and that is eating a quiet dinner by candlelight within the airy confines of our screen porch. I love to experience the candle light becoming more intense as the sun goes down. I love the illusion of how much better the food & wine taste because we are *outside* (didn't you get the memo? Fresh air makes EVERYTHING taste better!) I love getting to chat about little mundane everyday things with David, and that these little mundane things become important to us in that moment. I love looking out over the gardens & the freshly cut green grass. I love the sense of summer laziness I get whenever we do this. I mean, really, isn't this what summer is all about? Taking time to enjoy the little things, savoring the tastes of summer & most of all allowing the sensation of relaxation to envelope you from head to barefoot toe. Love this season. Love my man. Loving EVERYTHING about this moment! What do you love about summer?
