As I said yesterday, March is "Celebration Month" here at Papertrey! Along with the fun birthday set that I shared with you yesterday, we are also offering up a highly anticipated wedding set, entitled Wedding Day designed by none other than Alli Miles! Be sure to check in with her blog daily this week for additional sneak peeks at her gorgeous new set!
I thought I would create a simple pocket & tag card combo. The design could really be used for anything, but specifically could be perfect for a wedding invitation, a wedding card or an anniversary card. I started by creating my card base. You can download a template for this here:

I stamped these beautiful flourishes from the Wedding Day set with Sweet Blush ink to create a patterned strip. I love the way you can arrange clear images on a block to suit your needs like this.
I adhered the strip to Sweet Blush cardstock and trimmed it with scalloped scissors. I adhered it to my card front. I also added Sweet Blush satin ribbon to the top of the tag card.
To create an easy focal point, I layered two of my favorite images from Alli's set. A pretty circular frame and a flourished square. I layered the images on top of a super jumbo scalloped circle punch, with each scallop being pierced to create additional detail.
The sentiment "Happily ever After..." is stamped in the lower right-hand corner. I love that Alli included this particular sentiment in her Wedding Day set, because it is something that I have always written by hand in the wedding cards I have given over the years.
I found that one of the sentiments from our new Birthday Basics interior card greeting set could also be used for weddings! It reads "Wishing you everything wonderful in life, today and always". I also repeated the flourished square and a small adhesive pearl to continue my theme.
Every card deserves perfect packaging, so I designed this simple little vellum pocket to tuck inside. You can download a template for this here:
