So, are you sitting down?
Are you ready for the BIG announcement!
Yesterday I showed you a project asking you how many NEW exclusive Papertrey products it used. If you didn't count the stamps (which I will get to later on this week) the answer would be THREE.
It's taken all the self-control I could muster to keep this secret under wraps for the past couple months! I'm thrilled to now be able to shout it from the roof tops! Introducing...
This is a dream come true for all of us Papertrey. And actually I am a little overcome with emotion as I sit here and write this. We have achieved something that we dreamed of doing five years down the road. And now all of you will have the opportunity to reap the benefits just after our first year!

- Papertrey will be debuting TWO exclusive colors per month along with our regular stamp release.
- Cardstock, ink & ribbon will be made available in these colors each month.
- Each of these products are made exclusively for us, according to very specific guidelines and quality standards. We have searched the world over for only the BEST in each of these areas. You will NOT be disappointed!
- The first two colors will be released on February 15th; Aqua Mist & Spring Moss.
Aqua Mist
Aqua Mist is almost a Tiffany blue. It reminds me of spring and robin eggs. It is an elegant color that's perfect for babies & brides (along with a few hundred other applications!)
Spring Moss
Spring Moss is my FAVORITE color. I have been looking for it for years and am so excited to bring it to life. It is a yellow-green, almost a softer version of celadon. I'm in love!
There is just so much to share, I will be taking the time to focus on the characteristics of each of the new Perfect Match products over the next few days!
Today's focus is CARDSTOCK!!!
If you are familiar with our white cardstock, then you have already become acquainted with the superior characteristics that we insist upon. Our new colored cardstock is no different.
Papertrey cardstock is 110lb, the heaviest cardstock available in the industry. It is made specifically for us, so you will find it no where else! The weight is ideal for card makers. No more flimsy cards that cannot stand upright! This cardstock can handle even the heaviest of embellishments. Because of it's thickness it resists warping when coloring with markers, misting, watercoloring or painting.
It was important to me that our cardstock had a little "texture" (or tooth) to it. It is still graded "smooth" according to industry standards. Yet it has the slightest texture to help ink to dry faster and improve how well adhesive can cling to the surface.
When you feel Papertrey cardstock for the first time, you will notice instantly how superior it is to anything else you have ever used. It is everything I have always wanted from cardstock. It is a luxury to make that first cut. It is blissful to stamp on and feel how substantial the material your working with is. I can't begin to communicate how much this has modified my stamping experience. It's like I have eaten my meals with a plastic fork for years and just recently discovered fine silverware. Really. It's that good!
Now that I have told you how GOOD Papertrey's new cardstock is, you won't believe the price.
Cardstock will be available in 8.5 x 11 inch sheets.
We will offer two different package quantities, so you can choose whichever will suit your needs for each particular color.
- 24 sheets for $5 (21-cents per sheet)
- 12 sheets for $3 (25-cents per sheet)
We shopped around extensively to find a manufacturer that would meet both our quality standards AND offer a good price. We couldn't be more thrilled with the superior product we are able to offer at a very competitive value!
So, do you want to be one of the first stampers to experience our new cardstock?
Tell us which characteristic(s) of our new cardstock intrigue you the most in the comments section of this post. I will pick one lucky winner who will receive two 24-sheets packs of cardstock in each of the new colors, Aqua Mist & Spring Moss. (That's 96 sheets total!) The contest will close tomorrow (02/08/08) at 12pm (EST). The winner will be announced that evening.
Tomorrow I will tell you ALL about our new Perfect Match Ink, so be sure to stop by!!!
Edited to Add:
I have received many requests for a side-by-side comparison of Papertrey's February colors vs. some popular colors from SU!. I have prepared these photos to demonstrate the differences between them. I know color can be a tricky thing to visualize online because everyone's monitors are different. I hope this will lead to some clarification!

So worth staying up for! The problem now is I won't be able to sleep! Too darned excited! Way to go Nichole.

Oh no - this is going to be an expensive month!! What intrigues me the most is seeing the "texture" to it. One of the reasons I like background stamps is the textured look it gives the paper. So - I'm looking forward to that! Thank you Nichole for thinking of everything! I'm beside myself waiting for the 15th!

Gorgeous colors! I'm most interested in feeling that subtle (and yet still stampable) texture!
Congratulations on this incredible expansion!

WooHoooo!!! I'm excited right along with you, Nichole. I think my favorite characteristic is the 110 lb weight, but I'm loving the colors and matching ribbon (sigh) too. Another home run.

What beautiful colors. I can't wait to try the cardstock. I have been waiting to try the white since I have heard so many great comments. I love that it will be sturdy. I have made some heavy duty cards in the past that have basically toppled over with flimsy cardstock. I love the aqua the green. Great colors and very versatile.

I am so thrilled!!!!! You have really been busy! Kudos to each of you for your hard work, research and maintaining the best quality and customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure that I will have sweet dreams tonight in living color!
