1- labels with a twist
Are you ready for tonight's party? I know I am! You can join us at 10pm (est) on our Splitcoaststampers forum. There will be lots of fun chit chat with women from around the world, unified in the love for all things Papertrey! We will also offer up our final Papertrey Puzzler question and you will have your chance to win all of our new releases for January! I am looking forward to the excitement & fun! There is nothing like being able to "go out"on a Friday night with your Papertrey girlfriends, and still be able sit around in your comfiest pj's while in the comfort of your own home! I hope you'll have a chance to stop by!
I thought I would offer up another project to help pass the time today! This one uses some additional images from our new label set! If you remember the previous project I shared with you, some of the labels in this set have a unique center band that can be stamped in an additional color. I wanted to show you that you do not have to use the center band image in conjunction with the solid counterpart. You can use it by itself for a very simple approach. Here I have used the polka dot band alone and filled the center circle with an apple (LOVE that little apple! It's got such a fun, unique round shape!).
And did you notice that the labels are NOT wrapped around nuggets? They are Riesens! Chocolate covered caramel squares, and they are SO good! This particular candy isn't as square in shape as the nuggets and they have a little roundness to them. But the labels still look fantastic and add such a personal touch.
Now that I made these little candies, they needed to be contained in something, right?!?! Well, I decided to use one of our small frosted bags. The "thank-you" and "teacher" images are separate. And there are actually other titles that you can replace "teacher" with, depending on your needs, such as "coach" & "neighbor"! I am sure you recognize the polka dot band stamp from the labels. I just cut the strip out and stamped the image a second time, punching out the apple image with a 3/4-inch circle punch. This allowed me to layer it on top of the strip with dimensionals.
This was a really easy project, and sure to be a big hit with anyone you choose to bless with your handmade creation!

My list of must haves is growing and I've not even seen the stamps. That's okay- last month I couldn't see them on the screen due to server issues and I ordered them ANYWAY! Love PTI! See y'all about 1:30am CT to place my order (keeping fingers crossed all the goodies will still be available.)

*jaw drops* This is a BEAUTIFUL idea!!! I just love the little apple too! I've had fun sending treats this holiday season using my favorite set "Holiday Treats" but now I think I will have another favorite (okay, all the sets are my favorite but some a little more than others) lol. I think I am more excited about this month's preview than kids are about Christmas! CAN'T WAIT until tonight!

I like the new year-round label set. However, I do hope that's the last we see of the labels for a bit. I'm a total PaperTrey fan, and know that you can't satisfy every customer with every release, but I'm a little disappointed in the lack of general use sets in this release. 2 of the 3 sets were all about punches or labels. Just a little customer feedback I hope you might be able to use.
